Sparsholt 257 for 4
Easton 331 for 7
A good win was recorded at a sunny Sparsholt.
Easton won the toss and elected to field. Sparsholt made a steady start but were pinned back by some accurate bowling, with Fred Trinder bowling two maidens. The bowlers were supported by some good catching, including a spectacular diving catch by Iwan Cousins.
Our batting set off at a fast pace with Ali Reid-thomas (33) and Freddie Elliott (16) showing the way with some controlled hitting. Everyone chipped in with Ted Umbers (30) adding materially to the scoring rate. Only some suicidal run outs held us back but it made for entertaining watching!
This was a good way to end the League season with a lot of smiling faces. Well done all!
Captain for the day: Charlie Macdonald
Player of the day: Freddie Elliott - an A team debutant - whose batting impressed with measured stroke play and steady bowling.
